Now this is amazing. Just $50 more than a WiFi only Tablet and the same price as the Streak. Very nice indeed.

I do believe that is a stampede worthy price.
And prizes seem to be coming down in the UK. Now £479 at Amazon. Although it is only £20 less than the PC World price £479 is much less of a psychological barrier to purchase than £500.

Thanks! It's still exciting to see cross-OS development, even if its extremely early (my original sentiment), and existent entirely in Linaro. Where do you see this going?

That's a GREAT price!! I wonder if Engadget will post about this.

I agree that £479 seems so much less than £500 and in a different league than £600.

I think the Tab will be a huge seller this season.

Ugh.. I hope these aren't the Rogers prices for the Galaxy Tab. The price is an outlandish $750!!!

If this is true, how many does Rogers plan to move? This is ridiculous.

This is interesting. It's apparently really easy to take a screen-grab on the Tab (heh). All you have to do is hold the back button and press the power button and you'll hear a click and voila: Tab photo.

It looks as though the Blockbuster Video app works well on the Tab! Get it before they go out of business

Remember all of those complaints about the Android Market? Me neither. But guess what? It's being upgraded in time for Gingerbread:

I tried out the tab for a few days. It was great for flash video, especially ESPN3 which shows in a popup. Flash got a bit choppy on other stuff like teamcoco.com. The size is nice, but I'd rather use a pocketable phone most of the time. It would be awesome to take on flights, but I don't fly enough to warrant its purchase. There were a few apps that didn't fill the screen, but most I tried did. The big thing I didn't like were the ads. Ads everywhere in many of the apps I tried, and it feels like google has their nose in everything. Another thing I didn't like was all the steps needed to root, unlock, and flash the firmware. Also, on screen keyboard is frustrating after using the N900 for so long. Arrow keys on the virtual keyboard would go a long way.
