Hey all,

Hoping someone may have the answer, I have a LCD TV that is DLNA enabled, I want to know if there is a DLNA server than I can install on the N900 that will allow my TV to see the media on my phone.

Strictly Phone ==>> TV

Any ideas, im not to technical with linux so something with a GUI would be nice

Well i suppose what i am looking for is that the N900 is the provider of the content, for example i can see my laptop files on the N900 by installing the TVMobili DLNA server onto my mac.

But I want to be able to view my N900 content on my TV

What is the DLNA client you mentioned, whats its name ?

I had it before and it did not work, also having to use it from command line is a bit silly, we need a UI for it, but seems it still doesn't work anyway from reading some posts

If you don't want to build it for Maemo 5, I bet you could get Mediatomb running under Easy Debian.

hi,I tried the rygel app, and here it worked very well!

I installed rygel, then started it from xterm and noticed that the trackerd was working right after start. I waited till it was finished and then I could access the music, videos etc files of my n900 from my PS3! I could watch the videos/pictures/music right away or copy it to my ps3! Fantastic!

So maybe its your tv which had problems...

TV is brand new DLNA certified Sony, ill install Rygel again, can you tell me the command you used to start it in XTerm and ill try again.

I wish someone could put a front end onto Rygel, seems like it would be easy for one of the wizards on here
