Even if you don't have the option to start a video call you can always start video after a call is connected.

Skype for E71 v1.1.0.6 (which I installed about a week ago) does not support video AFAICS. No idea about other Symbian versions.

Finally I was able to do video calling with my sister who uses a webcam on her laptop. But there is another problem. The camera output is so dark that that she could barely see anything. Even in mirror application when I saw myself its dark. It looks like I am inside a dark room

Is there anyway you can increase the brightness of the front camera?

there are some tweaks which may help (you'll find them if you search) but I haven't tried them & I'm a bit skeptical of their worth. Just ensure that you either call in strong daylight or stick your face pretty near to a good light source, thats the only way to guarantee a viewable result.
