Hey guys, two days ago I started having some problem with transmission, when I open a torrent with the app it starts to download then after about 30 seconds I get an error saying:

ERROR: Read-Only File System. (/Home/User/MyDocs/Downloads/

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any infos!

I have had this happen to me and it's a real pain. Transmission has probably been shut down abruptly and left a corrupt file or directory on your filesystem. You may find it affects other parts of the phone. In my case I recall it left me unable to mount the internal storage as USB mass storage on my PC.
I managed to fix mine by going into the directory structure via the terminal and manually deleting the offending files from the Download directory, but it took a long time and a number of reboots.

Sorry I can't offer more help. I would strongly recommend that anyone using Transmission save the torrents down to your SD card rather than internal memory.

Okay, I have no idea as to how to do it that way and was hoping for an easier solution :-D

It would seem that I cant delete anything from my N900 handset either, if I try to delete a picture for example, it says Unable to Continue. Read-only Folder Camera. Its the same with audio clips/ music too :-(

Is there a way to make the folders not read only?
