I released new version of Stratagus and Wargus
And news: I released Stargus (Starcraft) too

It prompts i need to install cdparanoia... I thought it's for linux desktop? I try to DL from debian.org but it's dependencies would overwrite some default system libraries like libc6 etc.

Make sure that you are trying upgrade to new version 2.2.5.5-1maemo2
Dependences was fixed in this version.

Well I wasn't upgrading... This is a fresh install since I just notice this port just today...
And yeah I downloaded the version 2.2.5.5-1maemo2

I´ve got a problem installing Stagus 2.2.5.5. I have got the original CD and copied the content of the CD to Mydocs/Starcraft. Then I downloaded the Stargus App from application manager (extras devel I think) and if it asks for the data from the CD I click OK. Then the App crashes. I dont know why it is. I need some help.

PS: "extract prgram crashes" message appears

Its great, warcraft2 works wonderful.
TIP for faster installation:
1. extract game's files to /home/user/MyDocs/WAR2/. not a "setup.exe" from CD, run setup on win machine, after that take file from game directory.
2. via xterm run "apt-get install wargus"
than OK in message and wait... it looks like stuck but be patient.. some 10-20 min and its finished.
I other install methods ( hildon application manager ) stuck may be more then 30 min.

So just wanna ask if someone could provide me the correct filesize of the full warcraft II installer? Would like to download but search leads me to warcraft II game varying from 16mb to 100mb+

Wartool (part of Wargus) support extract a lot of varios version. Version with smaller size has only removed videos (but may be working fine too).

i have been trying to get warcraft 2 running on my n900 for days now reading threads everywhere and doing as they say.. but i cant. i tried everything and cant get it to work. the last thing i tried was this "the stratagus.zip worked for me, but as another user stated previously - not until I reinstalled wargus/stratagus after copying the data to /opt. Posting the procedure I followed in hopes it may help someone (not to clutter up the thread):

1) extract the stratagus.zip and copy that stratagus folder to your N900 (MyDocs)
2) xterm -> sudo gainroot
3) cp -r /home/user/MyDocs/stratagus /opt/
4) apt-get install --reinstall stratagus wargus
5) launch from the wargus shortcut"

which i read from another thread but still couldnt get it to work, when im doing the reinstall wargus says its gonna remove the data from the WAR2 folder which i do have and it starts doing it but then it gives me an error and in x terminal it says it couldnt be installed.. what can i do? please some help.
