The optics are good enough, i never said they weren't, what i'm talking about is capturing full sensor frames in photography mode, and abusing the tweening functionality existent on video codecs to compensate for the low capture frame rate, with eventual tweening artifacts being an acceptable price.

Btw, i' pretty sure LiveCast doesn't get anywhere near the quality that could be achieved with the approach i desribe here; like i already said, tweening artifacts might be unavoidable depending on what the scene is with such a low input frame rate, but other than that there would be little to complain about the resulting video.
