tested. i couldnt find any difference with 0.0.8 version. calls working, but no sound, sms still not functional. and, graphic seems to be slower than before ?
As grateful as I am for NITDroid, this doesn't sound to encouraging.

yes u can install it and i prefer this way than downloading from nitdroid server

and now i'm uploading the tar image

I cannot find File Manager in App Market.... hmmm.
Seems to show a lot less apps than ever before for me.
is this the same for other people?

Can this be changed so that Market thinks I have a proper Android device instead of N900?

hmmm, anybody got info on the changelog?? afais it looks to be pretty similiar to v0.0.8 which also had no sound for calls, unable to send sms, etc....

Check out "market fix" in the nitdroid forums. It's a sticky now IIRC.

what? no call and sms function yet? so much for the xmas wait then

In hd2 there are almost 10 android builds most of them are fully working and ready for daily use including gingerbread builds. However in n900 there is only one build moving to slowly, it has been on for 1 year and it can't make a call yet. I am really bored of this.
