if the n900 would have more users than iphone they would release the newest games for the n900 first with a solution that is better than multitouch. but this is normal.
nokia is doibg the same thing with the flash player 10 for the n900.
the reason may be
1.not enogh n900 users.
2,doesnt bring us more money.

Never happen, user base for n900/maemo is too small to make it worth their while, maybe the next nokia phone, if it takes off... Its more to do with the OS than the phone model.. You will have to run a diff OS on your n900 to play these games, then you have issues with multi-touch etc..

I often read statements such as this, and I'm not saying it is inaccurate, but is there any data that definitively tells us how many N900 phones are out there?

I look at the download statistics of Extras on this site, and can't believe how many downloads there have been. I know that the download counter counts Extras-testing and devel, and each version of a given app, but 57 million downloads is still heaps.

I think that if you ever request apps or games for the N900, well, you just don't do that.

Instead you say "Hey, how about porting your game over to Qt, so that the new and coming MeeGo devices can play your game?". The N900 might also be able to run it too then.
