Wicked!

I thought for a moment there that I was a lone voice in the wilderness advocating the wonders of 3 lol.

Is anyone else on the web 'n walk plus plan?

I am struggling to find out if I am allowed to tether, and also what my monthly download allowance is.

Can any one enlighten me?

Edit: Phoned and enquired.
There is a 3GB monthly data allowance, and tethering is allowed (though the representative tried to convince me not to).

I've been using 3 on and off for years. moved back a while ago from O2 payg. They're "unlimited" internet bolt on for payg was 500mb and I chew through data like it's going out of fashion on my N900 with torrents and whatnot. Here's O2's pisstake for me, £3/Mb over the 500Mb cap. Downloading at 300Kbps+ it would eat £15 credit by the time i recieved a text from them telling me I'd gone over.

With 3 I use as much as I like without worry. 3.06Gb this month alone so far. No issues with coverage as most people try to shoot them down with.

Yea, same here. I was always with 3, but suddenly I decided to change for Vodafone, at which point Vodafone changed their terms and conditions about internet and so I had my contract terminated. Now I am back to 3, with all-you-can-eat data. I strongly recommend you guys try it. It is LITERALLY unlimited

That's because they oversold their "unlimited" data packages and when people actually use data their network can't cope. Since all practically all the operators are withdrawing their "unlimited" data packages and are changing back to explicitly capped ones there really isn't much choice leaving one operator for another. giffgaff may be a temporary refuge but sooner or later they will have to face realities too.

How things looking for O2?
o2 looking great from where i'm standing- i asked before upgrading (£5 extra on a 30 quid line rental) whether the unlimited internet was subject to any fair usage policy and they said no, it is truly unlimited, and that certainly seems to be the case... i use mobile hotspot as my sole internet source, and use my laptop in the way i used to with broadband, often getting 150+ kb/s in firefox..
