Hmm I was hoping to have a go at WPA... do you know what software I could use to bruteforce a WPA key on my computer? And would the increase in speed be sufficient to crack the key in less than a year? I wonder if there are 'intelligent' wordlists/softwares that try the most common words/phrases first?
I've found with WEP, the authentication step is the most tricky. Quite often, even after faking my MAC to match a connected client, the authentication window closes - either immediately or shortly after displaying the message about waiting. Is this due to the router security, or perhaps I wasn't close enough?
