but it is always a two way street could stumble upon another devs who is really good at coding or developing that might join and give the project a little more push.

Thanks to Venemo's testing we found out why desktop panning wasn't working for me. It works fine with clutter 1.4 or less but is broken with 1.5.x which I was using.
Apparently something had changed in clutter 1.5, which breakes hildon-desktop rendering. So for now we will require clutter < 1.5.

It is so good to finally see desktop scrolling smoothly under Xephyr again.

LOL... Yes.
Especially if you look at our milestones: http://codex.xiaoka.com/wiki/cordia:roadmap
M0 might be pretty frustrating for non-developers

Smoku the things I have seen you done for community is just amazing. I don't think I have ever been so impressed by the work of an individual (or a group of individuals) compared to the work done by a corporation.

But from a noob's point of view, does this mean that eventually, it could be possible to fully run Maemo5 UI on a laptop? I think that would be my dream come true...lol

Yup. The machine I test the i586 build is my Lenovo Ideapad S10-3t. :-)
And the machine I do the development is my OpenSUSE laptop. See http://codex.xiaoka.com/pub/cordia/openSUSE/ for packages
