Hi All,

After a little advice if anyone can provide it!

I am currently running PR1.2 Worldwide (Mainly because the app manager hasnt offered me anything higher yet) and am having difficulty installing openGL apps such as GLTron & Sunvox. The problem is the age old issue of dependencies. They both require libgles1 which wont download or install with my current software.

I know this problem has been discussed and looked at before, and I have infact researched the problem and read these posts:

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=51651
http://jacobpennock.com/blog/?p=42
http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/...ng/td-p/694040
http://www.forums.internettablettalk...t=61040&page=4

Even though I now understand the problem, it still remains unsolved for me and no matter which method I try I am unable to install this package. If anybody could shed some light on the current situation with this and anything I could do to solve the problem it would be very much appreciated, even if you tell me that it is resolved in PR1.3 and I should flash new software on to my phone.

Thanks very much in advance!

Just an info sunvox worked on my pr 1.3! Can't assure you that I had libgles1 working. But just search for the package in maemo.org/package, then dpkg -i libgles1 might work.

Difficult to know if it can be resolved on pr1.2 as I am on pr1.3. But I can tell you that I have those libs installed successfully. So I guess "it is resolved in PR1.3 and (you) should flash new software on to (your) phone."

Thanks for your quick replies guys. Sunvox has since magically installed itself and works fine, however on the website it states libgles1 is required and the GLTron installer is still saying the package is missing! anyway I think if you both are using PR1.3 and its definately working then I will bite the bullet and spend a few hours backing up/downloading/updating. Thanks again for your advice!
