one little thing,it notifies the status of every single contact once I go online that's 30 consecutive notification for me.

This might be off-topic, but would it be possible to implement something like a auto timeout which sets the online status to away after a predefined duration. It would switch back to online or previous status when the device is unlocked.

It is a fantasatic application Nicolai. Thanks for that.
Also it would be even greater if you could extent it to other notification like:
missed phone call from x y z
music notification
or new email notification
I mean it would be great.

Awesome App
Couple of things -
1. After installing had to reboot to get it running (may be only for me).
2. As soon as I got online after reboot, got 'Offline' notifications for all my contacts (around 250).
still closing the notifications manually..so will report if anything more comes up
Still awesome app no doubt.
Edit:
The second option only happened once
...may be app was saving initial status for all the contacts on first run.

I tried to reduce this messages, for example in a prior version
I got offline messages from every contact every time my own
connection closed.
It is difficult to distinguish between status changes from your contacts
and those status changes you get when you go online.
And it seems the chat-services behave differently.
