Wow, I just got an n800 and this program is awesome. However, for long trips its telling me that it'll take up a ton of data to download it beforehand. If I was to tether it to my Treo, would that mean it would eventually end up downloading the same amount?
Also, a little unrelated... I'm shocked at how well OpenStreetMaps has my state (Massachusetts) mapped out compared to the rest of the US, I wonder why that is.

Gnuite,
I am experiencing issues with the GPS/MM. It seems after initially using MM w/ my GPS, the next time I use it, MM will start tracking for about 5 seconds and then stall. I can restart the GPS tracking and it will repeat the same problem. To resolve the issue, I have to reboot the device and its good to go again.

I'll be honest. When I first got my N800 and downloaded MM i didn't get it either. I thought a blank screen was all it was too (well maybe the map of the entire US of A). So I kinda understand this fellows thinking though I wouldn't have posted it here in the manner he did. It was really by accident that I hit the zoom key and figured out what was going on.
Perhaps there should a be quick "set up" screen or something that kind of points total noobs in a direction to get up and going in the most basic way and have that screen only appear the first time the app is run.

Which GPS receiver do you use? Which version of Maemo Mapper are you using? Did the problem appear after upgrading to a new version (if so, from and to which versions).
MM 2.0.3
i-Blue Edition 2 (i-Blue 737)
