Hello,

i have tried all sorts of searches in google and on the forum. please be gentle with a N900/linux newbie!

I love my nokia n900. its great as a phone and camera. had it about a month now.

Decided to go looking in all the apps folders and saw the DR NokSNES app. got it on.

Brill. Downloaded a rom zip on my windows XP pc and sent it to my Nokia via usb cable.

However, in filemanager and Dr NokSnes, when i open FM or Rom in DrNS, they both say "(no files/folders)" and have a greyed out folder up arrow.

Have i done something to make these two apps point to a non valid folder?

If I click file manager title bar it only gives me memory usage and no change folder option etc.

I downloaded filebox, and in home "mydocs" it is only showing me the DCIM folder... not the other folders i see on my pc via usb....so i cannot see the SNES folder i made with the Ghosts'n Goblins.zip in it.

I soooo want to play that game on there

Do i need to do some linux ownership things to make the folders visible to filemanager and drNokSnes?

many thanks inadvance for your inevitably helpful reponses

The Documents, Images, ... folders are hidden folders. They
have a "dot" in front of the name. ".documents" for example. The
visible name "Documents" in the builtin filemanager is a
localized name.
In filebox you can enable the option to show the hidden folders.

Make sure you disconnect the usb cable. you can't see or use any files if the n900 is connected to the pc. (except for an empty DCIM)

Just so you know, you definitely needed to disconnect from the PC, but you shouldn't have needed to reboot the N900.
