I have just spent the weekend trying to install Maemo Mapper on my N770 along with a Nokia LD-3W GPS navigation device without success. I have reinstalled different OSs and Maemo Mapper versions. The Bluetooth option under 'Settings' is greyed out.

Is there a combination of OS and MM version that works simply on installation?

If not what is the best OS and MM version to work from for the N770?

If I have to get into Linux programming instructions which is the simplest set of instructions to work round this problem?

I apologise for raising an issue which has clearly bothered many in the past but the posts seem quite old and I am hoping there might be a simpler solution available. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks. I have just read this thread and am struggling to follow it. Is there some reason a simple fix could not be incorporated into a subsequent version of MM, since 2006, when so many are reporting a similar problem, or am I missing something?
