In old first FW there was none scrollbar in Conversations (rtcom) and scrolling messages was done by taping stylus... like in Web browser (MicroB)

Now scrolling messages is possible only with scrollbar on right site. Defaul stylus action is selecting text...

It is possible to deactivate scrollbar and use Web browser like scrolling?

what broken? Maybe you do not understand me...

In Web browser when you want to scroll page you can simply tap the sreen, but in conversations for scrolling is needed to use scrollbar on right site of screen...

It is not default behavior in new FW?

EDIT:

sorry my mistake...

I removed ~/.mozilla/rtcom killed rtcom-messaging-ui and it is now OK :-)

Before PR1.3 I try it more times but it still does not work without scrollbar...

Guuuys... How about a way without reflashing the device? I tried reinstalling rtcom-messaging-ui, but without success...

I tried countless different approaches to find a solution (removing .mozilla, removing .mozilla every 5 seconds, removing and rebooting immediately, killing browserd then removing, replacing it from a friend, comparing prefs.js to his..) and I still don't have any idea why this is happening, and looks like nobody else cares about this issue.

Imo it is the most stupid idea ever to include a "ugly grey scrollbar on left, which you cant get rid of easily" feature, I wonder what was developer(s) of Conversations app thinking about to add this "awesome feature".

Anyway, I'm out of new ideas, I simply can't find a way to fix this and since rtcom-messaging-ui is closed source, I can't try the "grep it out and remove any string starts with scrollbar" approach, which is very dirty but may work.

If anyone cares about this: Take a look at https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11559 , I attached everything you need and I can still help if you ask.

If you are having the same issue:
a) Learn to live with it.
b) Sell your N900. It's a very popular way to deal with things nowadays.

It's a bug, not a feature, seems the scroll behavior is implemented on top of plain desktop scroll behavior, but for some reason the part of the code the switches to the modified behavior is not doing it's thing...

anyone still encounter this problem?
After my last flash, I'm having this problem. Following Pali's advice to kill rtcom-messaging-ui (and also rm .mozilla/rtcom) did not clear the bug.
I solved this problem by chowning .mozilla/rtcom folder to user:users
Can someone confirm this?

I had a problem that sounds similar to this the other day after I uninstalled my current theme. Changing theme and rebooting fixed it though.
