Not sure if this needs an app built for it or it can be tweaked somwhere?

Quite often when i watch Movies on the n900 with the default media player, and get a msg or email or what ever, there is no way to put the media player in dashboard, the video has to be closed to able to go back to your desktop.

Is it at all possible to pause the video and minimize it to dash board like every other app?

it's definitely not too much to ask for this, since this is already featured in the N900 promo video (available in the device by default, at least in my country)

it shows "9" movie trailer played in the background, and you can tap the screen when playing to show the dashboard button (while in reality you only get prev/pause/next button), and even in the task switch menu the video still get played
now this is what I want
