Do i really need gstreamer 10 plug-ins? I cant find it. Will ogg support work the same like gstreamer? Ogg support was installed with extra decoders.

SomePlayer use Phonon which use gstreamer as backend. So, if you have all necessary plugins already installed you don't need to install new packages (except of gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-extra which is required for equalizer). If this package didn't install automatically (with dependencies) you can install it using apt-get (with root privileges):

How can you replace the default media player with this?

This is like 100 times better.

I put the code in xterminal and i have gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-extra installed already. The equalizer seems to boost some songs while others dont get a boost. Quick question, I have gsteamer0.10-plugins-bad-extra installed also. Do you know if that would create a problem with the equalizer?
