Hmm... what about just muting the "master volume" and when the call ends or phone is answered / rejected then un-mute it?

The call notification is initiated by the notificationdaemon. And
I would like to stop this notification the same way as the
call-ui does it. But I don't know how.
I suspect the "master volume" control won't change the
vibrating alert.

1. how come the slide comes with also the reject and answer button at the same time? isn't it a little bit redundant?

If you touch somewhere along the line, the slider goes there. If you touch the end of the line on the left/right the slider goes there and rejects/answers the call. I have no idea, if earlier versions have had this problem to.
