sudo gainroot

cd /home/user/MyDocs *enter*

cp fdisk /usr/bin

It will be cp fdisk /usr/bin providing its just the file u extracted, if the fdisk app or program is in a folder called fdisk

then you would need to go

cd /home/user/MyDocs/Fdisk

then enter

then cp /usr/bin

Did you extracted it to the root path of your memory card? I mean you haven't put it on any folders right? if yes then this should work...

Assuming you already have rootsh installed
open x-terminal
sudo gainroot
cp /media/mmc1/fdisk /usr/sbin/
chmod 777 /usr/sbin/fdisk
fdisk /dev/mmcblk0
after you execute those accordingly you should see a note and the below part should be

Command (m for help):
just type p and press enter then an output should show up copy it and paste it here.

Just another Human

here is the O/P

home/user # fdisk /dev/mmcblk0

The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 977024.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
(e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

Command (m for help): p

Disk /dev/mmcblk0: 32.0 GB, 32015122432 bytes
4 heads, 16 sectors/track, 977024 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 64 * 512 = 32768 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/mmcblk0p1 2 884865 28315648 c W95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/mmcblk0p2 884866 950401 2097152 83 Linux
/dev/mmcblk0p3 950402 974977 786432 82 Linux swap / Solaris

Ok /dev/mmcblk0p1 seems to be still there and is fat32. Now I think(90% sure) it's a case of filesystem corruption.

Please try running this command from xterm

fsck.vfat -a /dev/mmcblk0p1

Note this will run for a very long time so stick it to your charger and let it finish
after it's done restart your phone and check if MyDocs is back.

-------------------------Do this if MyDocs is still not showing up--------------------------------

If still no then go to fdisk again
Command (m for help): d
Partition number (1-3): 1
Command (m for help): n
press p to select primary partition
First cylinder(1-#####, default 1): 2
then again press enter to auto select

Command (m for help): press t
Partition number (1-5): Select 1
Hex code (type L to list codes): type 0c and press enter

Lastly press W to commit changes then reboot

If all else fails then you have no choice but to reflash it again.. sorry
Least you can do is install this
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...-7-fremantle5/
to recover your files and back up them before reflashing.
