Please try running this command from xterm

fsck.vfat -a /dev/mmcblk0p1

Note this will run for a very long time so stick it to your charger and let it finish
after it's done restart your phone and check if MyDocs is back.

the above command returned this

/home/user # fsck.vfat -a /dev/mmcblk0p1
dosfsck 2.11, 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN
Logical sector size is zero.

Do i need to proceed as u said?

Least you can do is install this
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...-7-fremantle5/
to recover your files and back up them before reflashing.
and now the download link is invalid

I m just going through a great time

Sorry my link seems a bit outdated. Yeah go to recovery tools by MiK and recover and backup all your data... You've got no choice now but to reflash EMMC. Your vfat partition is indeed corrupt

BTW have you tried this?

-------------------------Do this if MyDocs is still not showing up--------------------------------

If still no then go to fdisk again
Command (m for help): d
Partition number (1-3): 1
Command (m for help): n
press p to select primary partition
First cylinder(1-#####, default 1): 2
then again press enter to auto select

Command (m for help): press t
Partition number (1-5): Select 1
Hex code (type L to list codes): type 0c and press enter

Lastly press W to commit changes then reboot

@tom4_u,

You could also try connecting your N900 to a PC with USB mass storage mode (which you already tried but received an error when trying to browse it), and do a CHKDSK on the assigned drive letter?

I suppose I will not work because the drive (MyDocs) is probably not even mapped, but it wouldn't hurt to try?

If it works and you get errors from CHKDSK, try CHKDSK /F to see if the data can be recovered..
