If I win, I would like to see one of the following:
- N8x0 hardware support in the Fremantle kernel
- Bootmenu with text console mode built-in, prettier graphics for the menu (configurable background, etc, like grub), Stskeep's boot-to-file mode built-in...

BTW In case we have a bet I reserve the right to start on implementing that stuff sooner than pandora or next tablet ships and finish something even if I win :-)

I think only the wifi driver is closed source. There might be some stuff that is not implemented in newer kernel, and some user space changes might be neede, but other than the wifi everything is doable (and probably not very hard).

fanoush: I would not be willing to purchase the craves1 kit or sis usb-vga for you and then ship it to you; I would be, however, willing to send you the required cash (via PayPal) for you to purchase and ship it yourself.
if you insist on your terms, then I'd rather have the very personal version of the bet -- whichever device you personally get first.
Photos, of course, will be required. And you should take a picture of something small that you own now (a toy car or foam penguin or something) and post it in this thread. Then when you get your Pandora or Nokia device, take a picture of that same toy beside the device and its box. Just as a kind of proof.
