Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It looks better than the N900 for me; its also slimmer and sleeker and weighs less.

I am all for industrial and blocky design, but really the droid is just ugly.
The back looks bad. No protection for the lens, no kick-stand,
And according to some blogs, the battey cover is no very secure, but that may be a pre-production issue.
And the keyboard is just strange. The designer could not arrange the keys in a better way? There are two dead keys, for no reason. The space bar could just be bigger...
Overall the droid doesn't look that good to me.

The slim size is nice of course, but I think it might lead to overheating issues... oh wait, that's why the device has to be underclocked all the time!
I don't know about you, but I prefer performance above size (just don't mix it up with style).

I agree that multitasking is better in the N900. Not only due to a better interface but also due to its 1 GB of application memory.

Flash is at least a temporary advantage of Maemo 5/N900.
Nothing new here either... HTC is known for crappy cameras. It's difficult to make your own, and since HTC doesn't have any professional help (like Carl Zeiss to Nokia), I wouldn't either except anything else.
Remember, HTC is too small for the most lens companies to even give a s#!t about them. And that would also raise the production cost of their phones, thus either lowering their profits, or raising the phones' prices, or both. That's not good business for any of the parts, neither the optical producer, nor HTC. That's also why they order cheap 3rd party lenses.
Yeah, multitasking has always been the strength of the SupermaNs (the world has yet to see a third SupermaN, after the already existing SupermaN95 and SupermaN900 ).

It is in the interest of commercial developers to make their software difficult but not impossible to pirate, and make software that pirates will like. Pirates don't care what things cost, they just use the best they can get their hands on. Pirate preference influences users. Pirates can effectively be part of the sales organization of commercial developers. (This has been my point of view for many years, haven't dusted it off and said it for awhile.)
