I don't think they've uploaded an old version, they just haven't completely processed the new version. So it's reporting the "metadata" from the new packing which hasn't been imported into their repo yet.

The different prices are pretty much like it is with Windows games vs Mac and Linux versions of those games. Porting costs money and the economy of scale also plays a part.

It's the ****** Apple store that _underprices_ everything to the point it means people can't actually make any real money on there.

I will buy every level pack for angry birds, the price they set £1.50 is well worth the enjoyment I get out of the game. I don't care if the iPhone app store has it for less for those bunch of under appreciative losers.

EDIT:
Maybe idiot is a bit harsh, but it does show you're not willing to support developers of quality software for this device. Just because Apple are playing limbo with app prices.
I assure you that I am no idiot and I do support developers. I bought zenbound. That's 5 euros, but I didn't mind at all. I bought the first levelpack. I bought Spin. I bought Documents to go. I didn't mind.

I like supporting developers and they deserve it. I also understand that things will be a bit more expensive for the N900 since there are fewer users. Zenbound and other games costs twice or less than the iphone's. But 6 times? No way. That's oppression. I would gladly pay and support developers. But I don't want to be cheated. 6 times is way over the limit.

Please, please try to go one page in a games thread without giving me an overwhelming urge to just delete the whole stinking thread.

Stop throwing poo, stop creating redundant or pointless threads, stop using so many asterisks, stop painting poo-targets on your head (aka trolling).

By the new policy which will go into effect shortly, half the posters in the thread i just merged would probably have received infractions. It would probably be good to start moderating yourselves now.

I usually just make comments as a normal user like "Please don't attack each other." and so forth, but i think fair warning is due because a lot of users that frequent Games are going to find themselves regularly getting one week bands due to accrued Infractions if they can't behave more like civilized, intelligent human beings.

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?

Do updates to Ovi Store apps come through the application manager automatically? I.e. when Angry Birds changes from 1.1.0 to 1.3.4 will this pop up?

The only app I've had update so far from the Ovi is Firefox, and thats in it's own repo.

I ask because I know nokia have hacked some funky arse **** into the hildon app manager so not sure on the affects on this on updates.

I believe so - I'm pretty sure I've had updates to Ovi store apps come though anyway, but I could be mistaken.

They do. You don't need to redownload from Ovi once you install it on your device. Once the update hits the Ovi repo it's included in the list of updates you can get for applications.
