That is correct.

Is the current DSP frequency available from the filesystem or a list of available frequencies? Or do I need to use static values?
It isn't available from the filesystem, but we could try to fix that.
Is there something like /sys/power/op_list for op_dsp values? I don't want to display the 2/3 states for kernels that don't support them.
No, but we could fix that.

Anyway, this explains your problem. You have to install osso-software-version-rx44-unlocked
Everything is OK now.

The problem was that I read your initial instructions

(Install osso-software-version-unlocked (apt-get install osso-software-version-unlocked)
and I executed it exactly that way, without the rx44 after 'version'.

Thanks.

I am very sorry about all worries I've brought to you, the battery issue solved!

Actually auouymous's advanced-systemui was leaking my battery very much, once I deleted it n810 became as usable as it was before installation!
The thing is that I installed both Diablo turbo and advanced-systemui in a same day so i really didn't know what eats the energy.

Today I had 6 lessons (80 minutes each one), spend it watching Simpsons (mplayer), playing wormux with table-mate and riding the civil and housing code (I study law) plus 30 minutes BT and Opera browsing and chat plus 2 hours of music (mplayer) and I still got 24% of battery. As good as it was! And I think I really found my device works slightly faster!

UPDATE 1:

New updated packages to have all the latest improvements:

kernel-dt-sd:
  • Ported N810 touchscreen driver enhancements to N800
  • Touchscreen driver does not poll when device is locked
  • Allow all op states in op_dsp
  • Add in /sys/power vfs: op_list_info, op_dsp_range, op_locked

dt-init-scripts:
  • Updated op_dsp comment to reflect new available values

You can find the updated packages in the the garage downloads page (https://garage.maemo.org/frs/?group_id=2036), under the "Update 1" version title. Just download and install with dpkg. You'll need to reboot for the new kernel to take effect.

Ramzswap modules complain because at the time of installation the running kernel is the Diablo/Community SSU and not DT, they may be ignored. Once you reboot, they'll load correctly.
sysvinit hasn't been correctly installed, I can't see why, reinstall it with dpkg. If everything goes well, then reboot.

Well something went wrong. after install (with dpkg) my unit stayed in a reboot loop during reboot. Looks like I will be doing a complete new install, if I can ever get out of this reboot loop.

It may be a mismatch between kernel and modules. Get both Diablo and DT kernel images by unpacking the kernel debs. Flash the DT one, if it still reboots, flash the other one.
If neither works, you don't need to fully reflash. Just initfs and kernel is enough.

maacruz, Thank you very much. I installed the latest update and my N810 no longer has random touch screen events. It makes browsing the web so much nicer.
