This thread is basically my reason for living until I get the n900. I really hope this message never gets back to my girlfriend. lol

I am busy telling myself that Nokia are delaying the n900 in order to make it Even More Awesome for me. By the time it ships, I expect it to have all the apps I could possibly need, (and a few I could never find a use for) along with the capacity to make a cup of tea, change TV channels, walk the dog for me, drive the car, do my day's work, instantly make me lose half a stone in weight and become (even) more beautiful. After all, I don't want them to ship it unfinished, do I?

I knew there was at least one in that list already covered. When I lived at MyTreo.net, someone there actually tested the IR to see how long it would take to boil a cup of tea because I kept complaining it was the only thing treo didn't do.

IR functionality alone should provide years of entertainment with the N900.

I use IRshell on my PSP, and I can pretty much go anywhere, and as long as I can see the brand of television / cable box that I am targeting, I can change the channel / volume, etc.

This is especially fun on those drunken evenings at the local bar when the tv closest to me isn't displaying a channel that is to my liking.

Could be exceptionally entertaining in a hi-tech hospital though. Can it do lasar eye surgery on the side?
