Sid and squeeze have the same version of kompozer it seems. (The architecture is selected automatically btw.)

My suspicion is that the problem is caused by the gecko engine, which according to this is version 1.8. Version 1.9 was the first version of gecko that didn't crash on arm processors... If they didn't embed the engine, but instead used the xulrunner package, then it wouldn't be a problem...

Perhaps this not the correct spot to ask I apologize...
At the end of last year I had two n900 and sent both back because of display and bluetooth problems and because a lot of SW lacks compared with Psion 3, 5, nokia 9500 and e90.
Now I am on my way to start a new attempt. Can you tell me whether you can use the complete OO writer and calc functions, menus... and is it possible to switch between a maemo application as Calendar or records and the OO writer or calc easily via alt-tab?

Thank you for answering.

Yes and yes (though not via alt-tab but the camera button or the desktop switcher button on the top left of the screen).

@qole: I'd like to put my money where my mouth is, but I can't handle paypal. If you add Ideal as a paying channel, I will keep you in beer for a few nights. Or any other beverage of your choice.

Having said this, I want to add a few remarks on this thread. It is not your fault, but with 102 pages, and a very bad interface, this thread is absolutely unwieldy even to browse let alone to search. I have a few questions and remarks, and I am sure they are answered somewhere, but I just cannot find them.

First: why the Gimp as default picture viewer? I am sure that the default can be changed somewhere in LXE, but I cannot find it. The Gimp is just too unwieldy to browse my pictures.

Second: has anybody tried to install Evolution or Kdepim in Easy Debian, and linked it for syncing with Gcalendar? I want to try it, but I am afraid of running out of space.

Three: are there faster alternatives than OO to read email attachments in doc or odt format? Again, OO just takes too long to load if you only want read-only access.

Four: did I thank you for this otherwise absolutely fantastic addition to the N900?

paai: I would never try to block people willing to donate to the project, but I have been unable to find an easy way to create a free "donate" button for my web page that uses iDeal as the back-end. All I can find is information for "merchants" (businesses), and it doesn't look cheap to use...

Anyone know where to get information on setting up a free (or inexpensive) iDeal account for accepting donations?
