when i woke up 7 am
my n900 was in charge then unplugged it
went to work
had about 40 calls and browsed the web for a bout 30 minutes
played buka a webos game for 10 minutes and used gps to get back home

BTW : n900 measures the battery according to it's usage
when i first came back home at 9 pm

it reported 80% !!!!!!!!!!!

so far i'm so pleased with my battery results
and i wish you do after karam post that tweak
If true, that's an amazing result! This time it has to be magic, definitely. This is creating some hype in me, as battery charge is one of the things I have always to pay attention to while using my N900. I never enter 3G mode to save battery.

i'm getting frantic for the battery saver. one of the worse features on the n900 and it looks like there is a fix. the vfs cache pressure value made a big difference to my n900 but 4 days?? wow thought i'd never see that

what???? four days? i can't even make it through a day with wifi+edge on almost all the time, web browsing, sociality on, IMs on... playing a few drnoksnes games

... i'd be glad to last for a day without worrying about low battery.

What did you do? I also set my vfs cache to 10. brightness to 3 bars, and almost everything i can to save battery life

i'm happy to say to you guys now i've been testing an N900 with all the battery tweaks including the new one
and this is the fifth day and it is finally drained yesterday
means 4 day long
i was surprised when i saw that (really surprised)
i told seker_94 about it before and looks like he is getting great results too
so i will post it after 6 hours from now
till i have a time to do that
please be patient

a log of what i did in these 4 days :
day 1 : didn't use N900 a lot
only for calling

day2 : used a lot of browsing with some media playing

day3 : used gps about 1 hour and used a bit of browsing with regular calls (about 10 - 15)

day4 : i woke up and i saw the battery was about 25%
browsed the web played some webos and finally it said to me to me
battery low
but what is surprising too
is after it said battery low i just left n900 to stand by (only calls)
and it took 5 hours to drain completely

BOTTOM LINE: regular and normal use of N900 (browsing calling sms webos and media player) will stay from 2 - 4 days according to the use

a very heavy use of N900 (hacking wifi and some pcs + using apt-get a lot + rebooting + spending to much time on games)

will take about 1 - 2 days

a complete standby
hmm didn't test this yet
but i think it will take from 4 -5 days

@Dark_Angel85 only done vfs cache value which has increased my battery life a decent amount.
i'm waiting for karam to test his battery saver and post it on here. Mohammad qouted a very nice figure earlier in the thread

if you can make that into reality for us, then you've been the next best thing after the CSSU. cheers

maybe because i abuse the wifi+3g a lot and i use the internet quite heavily, i don't notice that much battery improvements like you guys claim. i still have to be wary about usage until i'm very sure i'll go back to a power source to charge... i don't demand for 3-4 days full use without charging... just so i can carefreely make it through the whole day without thinking about charging. i'll be immensely pleased with that alone. thanks for your hard work karam
