That's all the "bling" I want. But I'm curious about what is missing for you?

I'm looking for that "wholly crap " moment. I guess I'm just too up to date. If i were out of the loop I would probably be really impressed. Maybe a good video of it doing something slick will spur me more. I think someone needs to put out a nicer theme and it will look leaps and bounds better. This of course could be happening with the real launch. Who knows.

I was not happy with volume levels for N800 or N810, especially the latter. I could rarely make out the GPS verbal instructions most of the time over road noise alone. I was informed that the N800 was capable of higher volume but it had been intentionally limited. Never got a good answer as to why though.

I just hope the next device is capable of being louder-- let ME decide if it's too loud and turn the volume down myself.

Exactly!

I had the same feeling when the n810 came out. I just thought it was just an improved n800 which i think was not worth the extra money. But after i bought it i realized how it was better than the n800 considering the keypad, gps and screen readability in sunlight. When compared to that the rover is a huge imporvement to the n810 and it has been a long while since the last update....

Believe me the "feeling that i will stick to my old tablets" will vanish very soon once you see the videos and reviews from forum members.

I have two problems with your posting, aside from the grammatical ambiguity:

1) I'm curious to know where you obtained that analysis. I would like to know satisfaction rates from 770 to N800 to N810 among purchasers and people who considered purchasing. I'm genuinely curious to see if it's gone up or down along the way. Has Nokia published this information anywhere?

2) I'm referring to the many people who criticized that specific aspect of the N810 (the side-speakers) when they began to buy them up and posted their critique. As I recall, there seemed to be a general opinion that the N800 had the much better audio arrangement.

According to prior leaked specs, yes, it

is thicker: 59.7 x 111 x 18.2mm

-- N810 was 72 × 128 × 14 mm

Well if the n800's speakers were better.... that advantage would be very minor compared to the real estate they would have increased on both sides of the device. A lot of people would prefer to have extended screen rather than front facing speakers.....
