Or did I get it wrong ?
Showing the times should only be an option - too much space will get lost for the events I think.

Exactly was I was waiting for. Thanks!

I haven't read all 90+ posts, so I may be duplicating a request. Sorry for that is this is the case.

Could you please consider showing also the Tasks in the widget?

Again, thanks!

Yes, it seems tasks are a popular demand.
But I find it difficult to integrate those in this
view. They are somehow different to ordinary events.
And I don't like this small task summary line in the built-in widget.

I would prefer an extra tasks widget.

I also hate the 1-line summary in the built-in widget.

I have two proposals. Check if you find any of then useful:

Proposal 1:
I currently use the widget with 9 lines, I can accept up to 3 lines at the bottom of the widget allocated to tasks. If there are more than 3 pending tasks, then 2 are show, 1 line is used to say that there are more pending tasks not being shown (similar to the built-in widget) and the 6 top lines are used to show the normal events. if there are less than 3 pending tasks, then only the needed lines are used for tasks and all the other lines at the top (7 or more) are used for events.

The number of allowed lines (3 in my case) could be configurable.

Proposal 2:
Mix them between the events as they are mixed in the calendar-ui (weekly and monthly vuew). You can differentiate tasks from events using a different icon (for instance, the same icon used by the calendar-ui).

Hope this help.

Hi,

new version 0.5:
I think I fixed the bug with the multiday events
I changed the calendar-size selection, to support all
values from 1 to 9
I look at the current theme for the widget
background. (I don't know how to handle the
applet icon, are those icons not themeable?)

regards nicolai

I also don't have read the entire thread .. so sorry if i'm repeating things.

Is it possible to add events for also "each second week" such that there's an notification for events that happens regularly but not every week but only every 14 days?

If not, can this be added?

Thanks,
nexus

Applet icon is not themeable so don't mind about that. Just use the original.

Hi Nicolai,

just updating didn't work. Actually it did update, but there was no change visible. So deinstalled the widget and reinstalled and then it worked.
Multi day items are shown correctly and size selection works.

Please allow for the display of start times of an appointment, at least as an option

I vote for Proposal 1, having them mixed together would be harder to distinguish.

Or else a separate applet is fine by me also.
