So, I have taken matters into my own hands and flashed my phone. It all seems to have worked and didn't take too long. I backed-up first so that I could restore my settings and applications. I used the following resources:

can't explain that.... think yours is right, no idea why mine has a .1? any ideas anyone?

Actually ignore that, i was reading the file version.... not the about box....

- still is interesting, shows that in my healthcheck app i'm reading file version, not the about box variant... hmmmmmmmm
