hmm looks like not every one is satisfied
i'm testing the ideal profile (but modified it with some voltages)
i will see how it goes with me
and i will upload the file after i finish
so far getting better results(including more performance) i just don't understand why perhaps better voltages increases the performance ?

@carbonjha
POWERSAVE_BIAS modifies the behaviour of the ondemand governor to save more power by reducing the target frequency by a specified percentage

setting powersave bias is POINTLESS, this combined with a high up threshold simply means you rarely hit the top frequency which for most of you is ~700-750 MHz. So you are using your N900 more or less at 600MHz most of the time which happens to have the best speed/voltage tradeoff.

Apply a little thought. Set max speed to 805, use an up threshold of 93, enable SR, remove all frequencies except 250, 500, 650,805. Keep HW wake ups below 500 when the device is at rest.

There is you magic battery saving right there. Magic super mega script, pff. Smoke and mirrors broo.

why do u think its not working on some n900s? is there anything we could do to make it work? i have min 500 and max 750 and ur settings on default profiles but no increase in batt life.any idea?

i don't get it mine is lasting well and i hammer mine on the net and gaming. i'm going to see when i have to plug it in to mains cos it's usually around 2-3pm. i'm on default with the values changed and it's stable. i can't go up to 805 with SR because it keeps rebooting so have to keep it at 750. at present it's looking pretty good. going to look into what vi_ posted though

what is HW bdw and how to apply that?

corduroysack (always liked that name), consider:

Code:
power=a*capacitance*frequency*voltage^2
You can more or less ignore a(a constant) and capacitance.

Basically the BIGGEST factor in determining how much power the processor is using is the current voltage (as it gets squared). According to the graph, there is a large step up at 600 => 700MHz.

Thus, if you want to totally pimp maximate CPU power useage to the max (or min in this case!) you should in fact limit it to 600MHz

i.e. 250 > 600 as your only available frequencies. Although none of this is any use if you are constantly hammering your CPU with widgets/appz and remnants of broken tweakz scripts (which most of the users with poor battery life are probably suffering from).

i dnt have any widgets jst few contacts nd calender..without applying the tweak battery life was very gud after applying the speedpatch..i want the default one bak.can nybody help me with default settings as i dint copy it down..this tweaks is useless

thanks for explaining this to me but excuse me i'm on morphine so getting things straight can get a bit wild lol corduroysack has been with me since late teens lol
back to business
So it would be of more benefit to change to ideal and max at 600 rather than 750 and min @ 250 and clear out the freq inbetween?
and change the powersave bias back to 0?
