Timeline : We have at least one more big update for march, we will release youtube and last.fm first (they were actually developed as example for the developers), and after that, I'm planning how much we are able to do in the other sprints. So imagine that we will try really now the 2 or 3 weeks interval (testing is taking a huge amount of time) so I see some of these features coming in the 2nd and 3rd sprint after the following one (beta7)

After using Beta 7 for a few days, I've now started to experience some problems. Sometimes when starting Canola, it will hang on "Loading" for a very long time, so that I end up having to close it from the swap button. This problem is intermittent, so I don't really have any more information to provide unfortunately, but I figured I should let the team know.
Hopefully the next version, with the download folder, will clear things up.
Still my favorite app on the N800!
Me too, I experience long load times. However, I should mention that I boot from mmc, and that the metalayer-crawler process struggles with my mp3 files for ~45 minutes after boot, so loading times of ~1min for canola are more than acceptable for me.
Note: the metalayer-crawler problem has NOTHING to do with canola; it's a system process for identifying mp3 and their ID3. the time it take on my device is astronomical for yet unknown reasons
Anyways, I noticed another problem: when I play saved youtube media, and click on the options button (complete reinstall of canola did not solve the problem; afterwards I rebooted and the problem disappeared...), the menu comes below the video.
In the screenshot, the video is completely green; that's a problem with the screenshot-taking tool i'm using. on my screen, there's the video with the menu below it.
hope you have enough time to take a look.

Hi belloc, first make sure you have formatted you internal memory , this will fix a known issue... Then make sure you have only the needed repositories ( maemo and maemo extras ) then try again!
cheers

- All the themes I have (flat black, graphite & marbles) do not show either of the two lower buttons (back & options).
We are looking into this issue. We don't know exactly what is happening, but we did already some changes to the themes, to see if is in the theme files and also, removed some bindings that toogles the lower bar.
