For what it's worth, I like joshua's original angled icon, without the "speedometer" on it. Oh and on http://www.flickr.com/photos/zerojay/3971659427/ do we really need three decimal places? 1 would be enough, I think, i.e. 11.4 MB and 61.9 MB.

Likewise. The speedo is cool, but I don't really like it. Less is more.

Although I think we should have two decimal places rather than one. Three is perhaps a little overkill though

Decimal places could likely be configurable in future versions. Some people might like to manage their data down to the las KiB.

Um, I don't want to see any of the developers here in a speedo, either. Nor do I want to seem them in anything less.

In the case of a speedo, more is more.
