After 1 hour lzma -d debian-m5-v3b.img.ext2.lzma completed

on terminal it came back to prompt

no message ?

What should i do next ?

That's it then. Just start Easy Debian.

any icon like open office or Debain chroot

click the debian lxde thats what you would want to start it off its that one with the d inside a diamond icon

pressed debian lxde diamond icon
throws same error and application crashed

no luck so far

What does the above "ls -l ..." command give now?

why not just try to decompress the image file you downloaded on your computer then copy it to the n900, then run debian lxde... these method works for me..

i shall try to decmpress the file with7zip
after the decompression where do i store the file and how do i transfer the files ?

also what should i do with present files if i wanna delete it how do i do that

can i copy the extracted files using xp windos explorer or i need anything else

Before you overwrite everything, could you please post the result of "ls -l MyDocs/debian*"?

its better for you to delete the file first on your phone, you need to reboot first before you can delete the file

after you decompress the image file on your computer just copy it directly to the n900, dont try to put it on any folders.. then do a reboot after.. thats it, now run the debian lxde should be working fine now
