OMG...
If you do not manage to find it after enough searching and consider the phone as lost (Or stolen) only the following can be done:
1. Go to your service provider (Vodafone or whoever) WITH THE ORIGIONAL BOX of the n900 and recept. They can block the phone for you.
2. Report the stolen phone at your local police station with IMEI.
3. Hope that the phone is sent to a Nokia service point for unlocking.
That would be checked against the list of stolen phones.
Obviously only do this when you are 100% sure that the phone is lost and/or stolen.
