so can i know if the hw acceleration uses up more battery?
how much more?
and even in standby?
coz with hw acceleration, i noticed cpu rate goung up to 750 *which is my max freq*
i wanna know if its used in standby as well.
thank u and have a orgasm free day
if you have changed the HW acceleration value then i think you have read read the cautions as well ?
as it is suits SOME n900s thats why it will show different affect on every device may it isn't suitable at yours so change it back if you think it is kicking your cpu rate up .
plus you can try power top to check whether is it something else or HW acceleration .
i have it changed on my device for like 5 months (not sure) and i text all day , about 600 texts and then use wifi and have above 20 beecons on my desktop and my battery still lasts for a day .

cpu rate goes up for a while then comes back to 500 *my min freq* and keeps fluctuating like that..
apart form that, its common sense to figure out "hardware" acceleration causes the cpu.
all i need to know is how significant is the cpu consumption and is it relevant if the device is in standby mode since the display is off.

Is this a typo or is your voltage setting really 38 for 250? If so, you can turn it down to at least 30 (your next lowest), but probably lower. Ideal standard for 250 is 28, I think. Will save you some more battery.

yes thats what I first thought when I saw 38 for 250 and 30 for 500... ..

I use ideal profile, need to add this and bring down my cpu speed to 250 750 instead of 500 805 currently.

I am not sure which kernel setting I was using, but yesterday night my charge on phone was steady line when I disconnected from charger at 1 till 8 in the morning. I don't recall if I modified the kernel profile in the morning. would post mine once I confirm it.

it's from 'ideal profile' attachment in http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...80&postcount=1.

Guys,

It seems to me that I'm a late entrant here, but I installed the latest script but seeing battery drain like anything. It didn't happen with previous scripts.

Please advise.
