Does the single screw replace the one that's there or go over it? The screw that's there is a tiny torx I think.

What would you recommend?
I have been thinking of the battery upgrade but I want minimum bulk. I could get the SD slot w/o cover and the HC battery with cover or wait for your full kit. Have you thought of price difference yet?
Hhow much bulk does your cover add?

Also from the way I use my N800 with the 32GB card inside I realized I hardly ever remove it.
...
I am keeping it as thin as possible.

Hmmm... Not to be a back-seat designer, but did you consider using a push-in/push-out SD socket?

Did you consider also just version with spring loaded contacts or solder pads or something similar without full sd socket to make it thinner? I'd like to use original cover and I am willing to remove the plastic from the card, solder the pads or make dent in N810 gray plastic under cover to make it fit. Basically I am asking for barebone version without PCB and full SD socket. Just the minsd thing with flat cable and maybe correctly spaced solder pads or springs.

push-in/push-out slots are really nice, but I believe they are unsafe to use unless you use synchronized (and slow) writing like e.g. Palm. For the N8x0 the operating system needs to know that you intend to remove the card before you actually do it,
(And you shouldn't be too quick.. particularly with the large size cards. Give it a few seconds after you uncover before you actually remove it.)

Also from the way I use my N800 with the 32GB card inside I realized I hardly ever remove it. I only remove it when I need to load a very large amount of data on it. Most of the time the USB connection are fast enough. With a 32GB card in this adapter it will be the same for most people who purchase it.
Thanks
