Just got it (through the app manager). The "license agreement" window had no text in it when I installed - if there is a license agreement and it didn't load of whatever, can somebody point me to where I can get it from?

That's odd. This has worked fine in our testing. Were you able to run @Web though? Maybe you can try again to install?

Just tried this, works pretty well altough there are some problems:
-the autorotation is waaay too sensitive, even when i keep it on a table it rotates to portrait mode because of the camera
-I can't find any way to actually quit the program (other than press Control Backspace and then press the X-button)

EDIT: Ok, sorry, theres the Exit Application in the quick menu, but maybe you could make a easier way to quit the application and also make a way to switch applications without Control Backspace.

I installed the 3.01 version, and it works, including the license page during install.
The UI is generally nice and very responsive, but it can indeed be hard to see if it's reacting to input.
There is no history button, and I couldn't see how to get out of the RSS reader.
I don't think it saves the browsing history actually.

Performance varies, it's very impressive in some areas, notably zooming and rotating (sensitivity seems ok to me by the way), but scrolling can be very jerky, at least it was in the limited tests I did so far. Probably due to flash (but at least it has the option)

I really miss an 'open in new tab', or even better, an 'open in new background tab' option. (using a long-press menu, or a modifier key even)
An option to reflow text (like the Android Browser, or Opera Mobile) would be nice as well.

Sorry for the delay. Yes, @Web runs fine. One thing I think is problematic though - it auto-completes the password fields in the browser for me. Which would be semi-fine if it didn't also completely hide the characters entered from the get-go. (I like that it completely hides the passwords, instead of showing them for a bit and then hiding. But the autocomplete in the password field makes logging into anything almost completely undoable.)

Other than that, I found the lack of a page-loading indication somewhat inconvenient, but not really a big deal. I was impressed with how fast it loaded some pages, actually.

At the end of the day, I personally still like the default MicroB about pretty much every other browser available on the N900, but this one has made an impression, and an overall positive one at that. The UI wasn't exactly intuitive, but it wasn't bad, and once you actually find out how something works, it's not complicated or out of the way.

It seems like a really good browsers, but there's seems to be two major flaws for me: it takes up too much rootfs space, and it seems like it loads fast, but not the smoothest browser when scrolling.

Just thought I'd throw in an update - a while ago I had to reflash for what I'm assuming are unrelated to @web reasons. This time, when reinstalling @web, I DID get the license agreement. So that was probably a one-time fluke caused by whatever was on my device at the time. Or maybe some internet glitch. *Shrug*

Hi All,

New 3.0.2 version of @Web is out in extras-devel. Thank you everyone for your feedback.

Changes: Bug with hiding progress bar fixed and RSS reader functionality fixed
Feature: Autorotation sensitivity option added to settings dialog

We are now looking into Qt 4.7 and QtWebKit 2.1. Our initial results with performance with these are very promising. Let's see how this goes.
