Video is great! But i think it can be a little bit better by tightening the delays to shorten it a bit to a length somewhere between 3 and 5 secs.
(also can the falling lines be desynced a little ? :P)

N900 would still boot fine without the intro video, at least for me.
The method using X to replace the startup video doesn't seems to work for me. I kept getting permission denied

Well the falling letters is a static image(the one that is set as background for the theme), I just animated it. What do you mean by desynced?

Don't forget:
sudo gainroot
You're not actually replacing the video, just changing the filename that is being called.

Desynced as in falling lines are not falling at the same speed as the one around them... That would mean cutting the image in vertical slice i guess with random speed !

YWhat would be great is if there was a package that could do all this via the App Installer for everyone, once it's gone through testing. It seems fine for me so far. All themes I've tried (including from Ovi Store) seem to mess up the Ovi widget on the desktop.
