Alrighty.

Although it sounds like you already have preconceived notions of what the review should sound like, and you're just looking for something to back that up

I'm actually looking for downsides every time I get a device. Unfortunately with the 3G I had to experience them first hand

i have both nokia n900 and an iPhone 3GS. I bought the n900 just to see the difference between these 2. ive used the 3GS for about 6 months and ive been using the n900 for 3 months. i must say the n900 is no way near as good as the 3gs (lack of apps, need to depend on the community to develope stuff rather than actual software companies, horrible battery life, not as user friendly as the iphone, and gets even worse with PR1.2) im still going to be using the n900 but for someone who wants to change from an iphone, i will not recommend the n900. stick with the iphone!

I can't. Even though 4g finally has a decent resolution, the university I'm at relies heavily on flash technology and I rely on them since the past 4 years and will rely on them another 8 or more. Without flash I need a pc to set my exams, my courses, my shifts, everything.
Then there's the night shifts and the nice micro usb jack that can be found in every second room for charging

Then I like a decent camera for those little moments that make life worth remembering. Switching from 5 megapixels to 5 megapixels makes no sense for me.

i can honestly say all those apply to me. i think soon as i got the n900 the romour about the maemo 6 was out now there is this maegoo thingy (sorry if i spelt it wrong).. as i dont have a laptop any more my n900 is usefull. but i do love apps games etc just wished i had time to create my own apps!!! but phone are just like tv's you have flat screen then hd now you got 3d lol

Don't worry about people not developing apps for the N900 the community is more active now creating and updating apps than we have ever been, we wont forget about the N900 as most of us probaby wont even get the next device. I for one will continue developing for this device for at least the next year, even if I manage to get the next one, I'll always try to maintain backward compatibility with N900 It would be foolish not to and not much work tbh. The next device is a lot more maemo as we know it than MeeGo, and we have Qt

here's the direct link:

ps: it's just a tech spec point by point comparison
