There's something unpalatable about a "yellow hat." :P

Can an off-topic thread go off-topic? Is it un-off-topicable?

If it can't be off-topic, then it's always on topic, in which case it shouldn't be here?

Shouldn't this be renamed to on-topic?

If I relate my answer to the "sir" issue, am I on topic in off-topic? Am I breaking rules?

How many of these questions can I post before there's a knock on my door?

If ndi types, and nobody is around cares to read it... did he really type anything?

Me: Fully-qualified barrister in England.
Answer: No. It is not against the law to use Sir in this context.
p.s. - don't even get me started on the jurisdictional issues of actions resulting from this forum's use.

It is actually against the law to call yourself a Sir without having gained a Knighthood.
A Knight title can only be granted by the Crown, and it is always for services to the British Empire.
Therefore it is offensive and immoral to the British Empire to call yourself a Sir if you indeed have not been Knighted by the Queen of England.
This IS a serious complaint and i certainly hope the Administration of Meamo.org will look into this matter.
Maemo.org is both registered(domain) and hosted in Finland. And British laws don't apply there. So, no one is gonna change anything.
