when it happens, my phone is on standby, I notice that there is something wrong when I feel it is hot (100% CPU), I see that the battery goes down quickly, and obviously the screen is not responding or responding slowly. to unlock the screen I use 3 to 4 times the side lever.
I do not know if there are a number of bugs, but I see that there are similar problems (with lower levels of my CPU) in the other thread.

Please vote for this bug: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8723

Please keep in mind that bugs.maemo.org is not forums but a technical bugtracker!
Comments like "me too" are inappropriate and unwanted noise!

I search for the previous thread about this and merge it.

Python widgets are known to cause trouble, recaller did for me.

Proper way to identify is to remove all 3rd party widgets, restart hildon-home and add one at a time (4 days I recommend). It is not said that the program you added last was doing wrong but might be incompatible with another widget. And for starters hildon-desktop is not hildon-home, hildon-desktop includes moving between desktops, edit-home, Operator Name, Status-Menu (+ icons) and App-Menu-Icon! Hildon-home is everything on your desktop (widgets, shortcuts, bookmarks, contacts)

Well, I'm having it again today and the ONLY widget I have is the "Battery" widget which is just the battery on the desktop with the percentage and colored battery. Anyone else using this one? I've removed it and will see if it keeps up the problem.

I have three fairly full desktops and got the same problems reoccuring in a daily cycle..

At first, it was fmtxd going frenzy from time to time, with only rebooting helping. Therefore, yesterday I removed and uninstalled the FM transmitter widget and uninstalled boost FM.

Directly afterwards, it was hildon-home going crazy. So I thought it would be Pelota Widget, which was the last one I installed. Removed this one too, did not help..

The biggest issue for me is this happening at night times. Overslept two times until now caused by a shut down phone, which shows me 100% CPU in battery graph before going down.. This is really annoying..

boudjere,
What keeps you removing all widgets (also official and reboot) and experimenting it for couple of days?

.edit
Do you have recaller, catoriese/mymenu or facebook/twitter widgets installed?

@slender,

thanks a lot for your answer.. I went through the thread and started removing the widgets named more than once . which were "personal IP", "personal dataplan" and "recaller".. Will try like this for now, if the problem comes back, I'll do the "tabula rasa" approach you advised. If not, I'll report the success .

PS: I don't have catorise/mymenu installed, recaller is just removed, but still installed and facebook widget is still active. I don't have twitter widget installed.

Today usual alarm weak up by phone, and finally did not freeze and no crazy cpu level .. I checked with battery graph.

Hello again,

I just wanted to report my "success": Disabling the three widgets described in my last post seems to have done the trick for me.. No more crazy behaviour of fmtxd nor hildon-home. Knocking on wood .

No my phone does not ring nor vibrate any more, but this is another story. I just uninstalled recaller to see if this caused the problems (was just disabled until now).
