The documentation said the other card would be under the battery... based on that, the location of the current label, and the FCC label footprint in the image that was available, I'm also inclined to side with disq in betting that the label is under the paper.

Interesting news on the 870. I was saying they should have come out with this last year but Nokia may still have a chance. I have been looking at getting a UMPC but the price point has continued to be too high. I have decided to get a 12" Dell Laptop instead which will give me more features for the same amount a UMPC costs. That leaves me still needing a small ultra portable internet device that also would support GPS and be a media player.
This new Nokia may just be it. Will we hear about it at US CES? or will we wait for the German CES to see it? Looks like it will have two sd slots but what CPU? speed?
Looking forward to more great rumors and leaks.

WLS: I agree. My Nokia 770 is now my "go everywhere" portable computing platform and my UMPC replaced my laptop on the road for when I want to pack something up for computing. I love both, but for wholly different purposes.

Did anyone watch this? Any hints from the strategy about Internet Tablets, Linux etc?

Man, I wish I could say more...

It's obvious everyone here will be surprised one way or another. Just a little more patience...

Oh goodie, a leather case! Howabout some form of plastic that hasn't walked once? Hi, I'm Hedge. When keeping my peripherals secure, I like wrapping them in the stank-assed skin of something.
Okay, I think I can safely say the cover is NOT leather. Engadget's source misinformed them. Cloth.

I choose to view the fact that you boldfaced "little" as good news. At least more optimistic than some other predictions in this thread :-)

No! Please don't be so cruel! Leather would have been bad enough, but thinking that Nokia would drop the fancy metal cover in favor of some cheap rag is too much.

If I can't sleep tonight, it's your fault.

I have second thoughts about Engadget's source too. The RS-MMC + MiniSD is a WEIRD combination.

Yes - I did watch it - but ... rather disappointingly it only seems to show the opening address.
A 770 did feature - in the part about location-based services.
It was up on the screen alongside a new phone.
No mention of 870 or Linux. Symbian was mentioned in that same presentation.

I've posted a question to one of the bloggers at the event - one who has a 770 - to see if there are any 870 floating around.

There were announcements of mobile phones (4 I think) on day 1.
