list.txt is made to same directory where you are when you run that command. Try to first change directory with command:
cd MyDocs/
and then run maemo-list... command again. Now you should be able to find file with file manager.

Good luck.

Thanks, but Reflash? If there is no way then it has to be reflash but is that the only option I have now? is there no way I can see what is launching "browsed -n RTComMess..."?

The other problem is that there is good enough chance that I will end up in same problem in future as I don't know who is the culprit and I will be re-installing the apps which I need.

Reinstall wouldn't help. As I said before some mal-functioned apps would continue to haunt your N900 even after uninstall.

Someone has asked the same questioned and seems to have solved the problem, but you really have to search hard, or wait for someone who remember the solution help you.

Assumed no one has warned you the risk of trying extra-*: there's chances the packages in extral-devel/testing would mess up your N900 such that reflash is inevitable. I've flash so many times, sometime is due to trying some malfunctioned packages.

Just like to add, I have 570MB of applications installed I have about 130 packages installe out of them 80 - 90 seperate apps and things that can be used are installed.

My phone runs lightning fast with the right settings and runing. For people in the UK I'd be happy to run you through some steps to get your phone running pretty quick like mine.

It will require a flash btw but you can backup then resore all your data after.

I don't get no jitter/lag on screen for games/apps, the embeded browswer MicroB dose not lag on flash websites can play videos full screen or embeded on the webpage smooth.

the reason for why I say UK only is because of the climate we have here. I'm not to sure about other places.

But be warned I suggest you'd go light on these setting if you want them, your phone could not be as good of a build than mine is.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem. I received my N900 for Christmas 2010, so it's not exactly old, and it was pre-loaded with the latest firmware (I'm told).

My problem is that it's soooo very slow, especially with the call app. Sometimes I might be writing an SMS (wifi off usually, no other apps open) with the keyboard open, and if a call comes, I snap the keyboard shut and try to receive the call. Usually the caller stops trying to call before I can even answer, because the screen just goes black and does not respond. Just today I've had to calls go into voicemail because even though the phone was in my hand, I wasn't able to answer.

Same thing with switching apps. Usually I only have my email client open, and an SMS open, and trying to switch between those two is a bloody nightmare! The screen either goes black or doesn't respond to touch. Usually the email client will time out and ask me to force quit the app. Same with the browser and app installer. I have tried uninstalling all apps and themes that I don't actively use to no avail.

The application manager takes up two minutes (at least) to load up, and is slow at installing and uninstalling anything (especially uninstalling!). The browser isn't slow in and of itself.

I usually don't have the wifi on, or any apps running, and it still manages to be slow. The issues shouldn't be with the amount of widgets running as the N900 should be designed for heavier use than I'm subjecting it to!

The N900 is only snappy when I have no applications open and I'm switching between the various desktops. As soon as I launch _anything_, I get problems.

Sorry to be such a moan, but I do hope there's a fix out there for this!

@cciot I think you should reflash it yourself as yours is quite defective according to your description.
