It`s very strange. Everything works perfect on me instead of the Calendar sync. Contacts, task, email perfect but I receive not one event from within my calendar nor I can add events by sync to my mail account. *grmpf*

Hi Guys I'm a broken record but I just cracked open a beautifull N900 here in Canada. I have the dreaded Exchance Requires A Secured Connection or the Account is dissabled erro.

I have been reading all the posts this week end and the closest possible solutions I can find are the enable onprovisioned phones on Exchange2007 with the latest SP.

I have also done this

Have you tried simply saving the certificate using Internet Explorer?

You can usually access your Exchange Server account via a web interface - ask your systems administrator for the web address - and if you do this using Internet Explorer you can simply click on the padlock (that will appear next to the web address bar) to view the certificate

Click on the padlock and then click on 'View Certificate'. Then click on the 'Details' tab at the top followed by the 'Copy to File...' button at the bottom. Click on 'Next >' and select PKCS (.P7B) and tick the 'Include all certificates' and click on 'Next >' again. Choose a folder and name to save it (I'd choose the desktop to make life easier - call the file whatever you want) and then click on 'Next >' again. Then click on 'Finish' to complete the process.

Now find that file on your desktop and double click on it. It should open a new window probably showing two panes with a folder. Double click on the folder and continue double clicking on subsequent folders until you come across one or more certificates displayed in the bigger right-hand pane. This is where you'll find the certificate you need to install on your N900.

If you double click on each certificate it will open a window similar to the window that opened when you clicked on the padlock on Internet Explorer. Double click on each one and you will find that most of the certificates will be issued by one of the certificates in your list which will have been self generated.

You need to now save the self-generated certificate by clicking on the 'Details' tab at the top followed by the 'Copy to File...' button at the bottom. Click on 'Next >' and this time select Base-64 encoded (.CER) and click on 'Next >' again. Choose a folder and name to save it (again just choose the desktop to make life easier and call the file whatever you want) and then click on 'Next >' again. Then click on 'Finish' to complete the process.

You now need to import this .CER file on your N900. Copy the file across to your N900, then open the File Manager, find the file you copied across and select it. Your N900 will display details about the certificate but this time it should include an 'Install' button which you should tap on. And that's it - you should then be able to sync with your office Exchange.
.

I have also done this.

I have updated to the latest firware. My cert is self signed with a CA .

Any screen shots or videos would be a great help. Not sure what is going wrong.

Thanks

soooooo, is the default mail application extensible? or can we find a way to shoehorn thunderbird or claws (or whatever) to work with the airsync protocol for exchange?

Hallo at all!

Have a problem to sync my new n900 with our exchange 2003 server.
What i have done:

activate allow non-provisioning devices on the exchange.
We have a squid as revers proxy. So i have import that certificate in the certificate manager.
Now the certificate is showing as .pem file in /home/user/.maemosec-certs/ssl-ca/ and also in the manager. But the sync do not work. Without the secure connection, over our intrannet the sync work. We have also some iphones and htc and these are still working.
I have installed pr1.2 on the n900.

Have anybody a idea

and sorry for the bad english.
I've just had a look at the server, and the certificate used is invalid (it's using the CN of srv02, instead of plank.dyndns.info), so that's why MfE is refusing to connect.

Hi all-

I just got a replacement N900 as my charger port pulled out. The new software does not sync my notes which appear under the calendar pull down. This used to work in Pr 1.1. I did not verify that it worked in 1.2 when I installed it on the old device. However, the new device does not sync my notes from the exchange server. Is this known behavior?

Thanks,
Fred

I figure I'll try posting here first before considering a new thread.

So far it appears that with the installation of mfefolders, the N900 can then have push email for specific folders. Is this really the case?

Here's some background:

I am regularly on-call for a network support center, and by on-call its because we don't have enough volume for a dedicated person in the office, nevertheless we have 4 hour fix SLAs for various customers. This means I NEED to be aware of emails, yet don't want to be woken by the various colleagues working late or Cisco newsletters in the early hours of the morning (I sleep little enough as is).

I currently use an E71 with Roadsync, because this lets me sychronise my emails in various folders with a very LOUD ringtone (when on my on-call profile) that will wake me instantly in the night. All my emails are sorted by on-server rules into various folders such that nothing should land in my inbox in the night.

(the iphone using colleagues need to keep a laptop turned on all night and have a seperate on-call set of outlook rules they activate which start foobar on auto-play).

Is this possible on the N900 at this point in time? I heard something about issues with notifications with mfefolders and wasn't sure what was meant.
