you certainly are a geek
shortens the (already miserable) battery life
one more thing (next to the charger or DC-11) to drag around
one more thing to forget / misled when needed et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...
no thanks, rather .7 mm more & no additional battery use (except @ night / dark light, when it gets backlit) & always handy
and... what if you don't have a pocket in your shirt?

well this last discussion is in line what I've heard from Nokians prior to Jessie's Girl. Dali (the leaked N9) was scrapped and Lankku would be the MeeGo device. I was devastated by this news when I heard a while ago, because I really want a keyboard. so you can imagine when Jessie's Girl appeared in the video, and suddenly Dali was alive again. I do believe Koajwujwer123 is telling the thruth. better components but lacking keyboard is the worst case scenario for me.
I do like the swiping gestures (smells of Skillman), and I'm glad the multitasking from m5 is there, so for those that don't spend 90% of their time in xterm or khteditor I'm sure it'll be an epic device, but it'll be a tough call for me.

SGS2 beats Arc in everything.
- 1.2GHz dual core Cortex A9 (I overclocked mine to 1.5GHz!) (Arc is 1GHz single core Scorpion)
- 1GB RAM vs 512MB on Arc
- 4.3" SAMOLED+ vs 4.2" Backlit LCD (ARC is WVGA res. Not 720p)
- Can record / playback 1080p videos (ARC does 720p)
- 16GB Internal vs 320MB on Arc
Hardware wise, nothing beats the SGS2 yet. I hope N9 slaughters it.

Well that depends on consumer to consumer doesn't it ? But on looks alone.. it is hands down the winner. Then we move to internals and all which are competitive.

i got sidetracked by all that "freebies" story.
i maintain that the RM-680 will be THE Maemo / MeeGo device of the year and
«[...] it is beautiful and elegant and the hardware is interesting and the software is powerful [...]»
as Rich Green said so (hopefully) it will sell, ans sell well!
considering that it has a keyboard (which, as i said earlier, is required for a pocket computer running a real Linux / GNU), i'll certainly get one as soon as they are available in the shops w/ decent contract fees.
