The Vimeo native app on the N9 hasn't worked for me for a year or more for playback. It has still searched and browsed though, just to tease me. At least I'd still been able to view the movies I found on cuteTube. But like you, not anymore. I'm pretty sure this was working on this version of cuteTube2 just a few days ago.
As to YouTube, I ran cuteTube2 from terminal and got the following single line of output when trying to play a video that didn't work:
So it looks like YouTube pulled a Flickr on me. I guess this could be region dependent, so it doesn't affect everyone . . . I'm trying to play from the US, BTW.Code:Error: "SSL support not available"
Here's a video that definitely doesn't work for me in cuteTube2:

...If they don't, there is not much that can easily be done for the cuteTube player, since the backend does not support SSL (hence the error message).
