I'm getting these too.
Looks like a warning when it's changing to non-standard frequencies.

I don't believe this is anything to be worried about, but could be very wrong...

I don't think they can detect it unless you fry it and they read the memory and find the kernel when you send it in for repair.

If your warranty request has nothing to do with frying due to overclocking I don't see how they can deny you. Just flash back to stock before you get the USB plug fixed or whatever other problem that might occur. The warranty is only for one year anyway.

Pathethic, is this N900/Maemo? Sound to me like N900/Maemo is worst than other OS/devices?

Look at Android, they have a very well built app for OC with intelligent features such as CPU Governor, and profiles to limit the clock at certain conditions.
http://rootyourdroid.info/guides/ove...ing-the-droid/

OC is inevitable, why not do something that's better to make things better and controlled, rather than just say NO, but others will still do it.

I mean, if we want to OC, we should have a good controlled condition OC. There will still be people who will risk further nonetheless.

What warranty?
Nokia Australia won't honour their warranty here anyway. Bastards.
I'd have to post it 12000 klm's to the US for warranty.
Besides, they wanted community development. They're getting it!

Yes, I read this threat from Nokia in Twitter hours ago.

My warranty was voided long ago. Anyway, Unless something happens that is clearly Nokia's fault, I won't complain and I won't ask for anything. And I think it's impossible for anything to happen that is Nokia's fault at this point, except for the USB port going bad, which would presumably not be due to overclocking.

Am I having overclocking problems or is this something else? I haven't noticed any problems at all overclocked, just happened to check dmesg out of curiosity.

For the record, I could never get SmartReflex to work right on the STOCK kernel. First time I tried it randomly rebooted itself when it was idle, so I turned it back off.

I`ll burst the bubble for you folks!.....I got so excited by overclocking, but it seems that my phone is not stable at 900mhz

I`m always watching a flash poker channel on justintv.....on stock kernel everything is nice and smooth....on the 900 kernel the browser crashes instantly, on the 800 kernel the browser plays fine.

Now it seems that the 600 stock kernel plays the flash content smoother than the 800 ( maybe its because the 800 kernel jumps from one frequency to the other instead of the 600 that doesn`t fluctuate )...I`ll experiment more....

Also got a 'sdcard not found' in sygic for the first time....don`t know if its overclocking related

Also the phone was hotter than stock on 900 when flash content was playing, even for 5 minutes....I wouldn`t recommend it for heavy use!

hi

phone's ip-stack was not working this morning after a one night charging session - wlan was there but no ping possible - my e51 has no problems - and i did not have problems with n900 before with this. restart helped but ...
back to 800 from 900. just for the record.
